Hangin' With Grandma

Last night we skipped cleaning and mowing the lawn (and boy does it ever need it) and met my Mother-in-Law at the hotel she is staying at while she is attending a medical conference and took her to dinner. After dinner we grabbed some Cold Stone, Yum.

We were headed back to the hotel, when my son said he wanted to go down to the Potomac River and see the statue in the ground. The statue is called "The Awakening." The kids had a great time running across the sand and climbing on the statue pieces.

I was caught by the sound of the waves hitting the rocks and the sunset that was beginning to take place. It was a peaceful moment and I left feeling a bit more refreshed.
